Shaping the future of care

Working with us

The opportunity

Shape Care are proud to support families at The Oval, a Residential Family Centre in the heart of St Helens.

At The Oval, we assess and support parents and their children over a typical stay of around 13 weeks, working closely with social services and other professionals to help families move forward safely and confidently.

While we’re not actively recruiting at this time, we’re always happy to receive speculative CVs from individuals who share our values and are interested in joining the team when the opportunity arises.

If you’re compassionate, reflective, and committed to supporting families in a meaningful way, we’d love to hear from you.

Our experience tells us we can never rest on our laurels. It is important for us to develop ourselves and strive for better - and these are values we not only share with but encourage throughout our company.

We have a fresh approach and bold ambitions so join us as we shape the future of care.

“We’re unapologetically proud of wanting the best for those we support, and we know the key to that is you

Christopher, Director

Their future is in our hands.

Our ultimate aim is for families to leave our service having had a fair opportunity, free from judgment, and equipped with the tools to thrive - regardless of the outcome.

Every child that comes to us deserves the best possible start in life. For that reason, we:

  • Assess parents using a rigorous, measurable framework, resulting in an evidence-based report that focuses on key aspects of parenting capacity.

  • Support families around the clock with daily care and routines, making sure each baby is safe - while their parent feels independent, but never unsupported.

  • Empower families with tools to thrive. We encourage participation in tailored sessions focused not just on parenting, but on life beyond parenting- including resilience, independence, health, mental health, substance use, and healthy relationships.
